Putting eyes in the sky to protect rhinos

Two hours of helicopter time was donated to enable anti poaching flying over the Sabi Sand Game Private Reserve this full moon. The operation aimed assist with counter poaching efforts in a bid to protect rhinos from poachers. Night Vision Goggle (NVG) technology was used - the pilot wears special goggles that pick up more visable light than what our eyes can see, enabling them to fly safely at night.

This project ongoing project to support reserves with helicopter time over full moon is in collaboration with Hope for Wildlife Helicopters.
