Kudu cow saved from snare

August 2022
A lucky early intervention prevents further injury

Another successful early intervention with a snare incident, after a lot of patience searching for the animal after it was initially spotted with a snare around her neck. If we had not intervened, this Kudu would have definitely suffered bad injury or worse… Luckily, with a lot of skill and patience, the team from Wildscapes Veterinary Services managed to dart the Kudu, quickly remove the snare, treat the minor abrasive injuries on her neck and return her safe & sound to the rest of the herd. A big thank you to Blue SkySociety & Down 2 The Wire for this successful collaboration!
