Pictured here are two young cheetah- a male and female - who were darted yesterday as part of the Endangered Wildlife Trust cheetah meta population project.
With so few cheetah left in the wild, their gene pool is shallow, so projects like this that aim to strengthen that genetic diversity are critical to their survival as species.
These two young cheetah are currently being held safely in a Boma and will be exchanged (imminently) with two cheetah from different reserves, who are also a part of the meta population project.
