Cheetah metapopulation project

Safaris and travel may have stopped but important conservation work continues!

Pictured here are two young cheetah- a male and female - who were darted yesterday as part of the Endangered Wildlife Trust cheetah meta population project.

With so few cheetah left in the wild, their gene pool is shallow, so projects like this that aim to strengthen that genetic diversity are critical to their survival as species.


These two young cheetah are currently being held safely in a Boma and will be exchanged (imminently) with two cheetah from different reserves, who are also a part of the meta population project.


We are very proud to support and sponsor this initiative (made possible thanks to the guests who have travelled with us and donated- every trip that you travel with us allows us to contribute to these meaningful projects) and a big well done to Joel @the_conservation_vet and team for making it happen!
