Honey as a natural anti-biotic

May 2020
Wild Wonderful World partner with Elephants Alive

We are so excited to collaborate with Elephants Alive and support them with an amazing initiative focused on researching the effectiveness of honey when used as an antibiotic for treating wounds in wild animals. Making use of GPS tracking collars, Elephants Alive will now be able to monitor elephants that have been treated with honey (particularly on snare wounds) and collect data on their recovery, adding to our knowledge of the incredible healing powers of honey!

We look forward to bringing you updates from the field! A huge thank you to our Wild Wonderful World donors, especially KidsCanSaveAnimals (Lynn Gilman) for your amazing support with this project and making it possible!
