Ruaha Carnivore Project

Ruaha National Park, Tanzania

The Ruaha Carnivore Project (RCP) is an Oxford University project headed up by Amy Dickman, winner of the Tusk Trust Conservation Award in 2014. The project focuses on developing effective conservation strategies for not just lions, but all large carnivores in Ruaha. By engaging with local communities the team at RCP use a variety of different strategies to try and protect the lions, leopards, cheetah, wild dog and hyena in the area.
