Upon landing at Kilimanjaro airport you'll be given ample time to relax in total comfort at your first stop. Enjoy the lodge itself or indulge in a few extra activities like a coffee shop tour or an excursion to Arusha.
Meet your guide and enjoy a short yet meaningful presentation by the team at African People and Wildlife on the conservation efforts in the area. Head out on twice-daily game drives and experience not only the incredible wildlife but also the rich culture of Tanzania’s 120 tribes.
An early departure from Oliver's Camp, head to Lake Manyara where you will spend the day. Keep your eyes peeled for a Rift Valley soda lake encrusted with pink flamingo to the park's unusual tree-climbing lions. Wind your way up the Ngorongoro Crater and enjoy sipping on a gin and tonic while you look out over the Serengeti plains.
After exploring the Ngorongoro crater rim for two days you’ll begin the leisurely descent down the into crater. Take advantage of you’re private guide and vehicle. Absorb the sights on a highland walk with your Masai guide and get a taste for how humans are co-existing with their big cat counterparts with the KOPElion team over a campfire presentation.
Days 8-11: Legendary Serengeti Camp
Journey back down the crater to Manyara airstrip where you will catch a morning flight to the northern parts of the Serengeti. Meet your guide on arrival and discover the location of your new camp! This luxury mobile camp follows the migration, offering guests a front-row seat to the procession of more than two million wildebeest, zebra and Thomson’s gazelle as they wander across the vast grass plains. Whether it's calving season, migration or river crossings, you are likely to see it!
Optional: Hot air balloon over the serengeti and witness the migration from above (extra cost).
Day 12: Departure - Arusha, Tanzania
After a final morning game drive, you will be transferred back to the airstrip where you will fly to Arusha/ Kilimanjaro International Airport to connect with onward international flights home.
