A unique and exciting itinerary that journey's to the very heart of Zambia's best-known wilderness areas. A watery wonderland mix of experiences, from the Busanga swamps in Kafue, life-giving Luangwa River to the mighty Zambezi and Victoria Falls - this is an action packed safari full of exquisite animals and superb mix of game viewing opportunities.

Day 1: Arrival - Lusaka, Zambia
Where better to start your safari than in the Northern Kafue and the million-hectare Busanga Plains. Home to hundreds of red lechwe, puku and other plains game and their predators, the wild and remote floodplains seemingly go on forever.
Days 2 & 3: Shumba Camp, Kafue National Park
Elegant Shumba, named after the prides of lion seen in the area, is found on a wooded island in the centre of the Busanga Plains. Explore the reserve on twice daily game drives and take to the water for a boat safari (seasonal). For birding enthusiasts, the park boasts 491 species, including endemics such as Chaplin's barbet.
Option: Hot air Ballooning - Fly eye-to-eye with an eagle and watch hippo playing far below while taking in the incredible remoteness of the plains (extra cost).
Days 4-7: Chinzombo Lodge, South Luangwa National Park
Flying cross country, we swap one vast wilderness for another, heading to the South Luangwa National Park. Travelling first by plane and then by road, journey into the depths of the wilderness, to Chinzombo Lodge, on the banks of the Luangwa River. This wildly luxurious camp is based in one of the most game rich areas of the park, renowned for its world-class predator action, with especially strong sightings of the elusive leopard. Explore the region's diverse habitats with game drives, safari walks and boat cruises (seasonal).
Option: Sleep under a million stars on an adventurous sleep out in the river bed (extra cost)
Days 8-10: Chongwe Camp, Lower Zambezi
Set at the confluence of the Chongwe and Zambezi Rivers against a beautiful mountainous backdrop, Chongwe camp offers the best views in the Lower Zambezi. During your stay, enjoy an impressive variety of safari activities, created for the ultimate exploration of this magnificent African paradise. By land, you can enjoy game drives and walking safaris, or take to the rivers and explore with boat cruises, canoeing safaris and tiger-fishing. Back in camp, a brand new wildlife hide is great for photography, especially rare nocturnal creatures.
Days 11 & 12: Toya Leya, Livingstone
Your river adventures continue today, albiet further upstream along the Zambezi to the "smoke that thunders" - Victoria Falls. Toka Leya offers the perfect combination of relaxation and adventure; ideal for the end of your African safari. Morning explorations of the river, the surrounding Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park or nearby Victoria Falls can be followed by a tranquil afternoon at the lodge spa or practicing inspired yoga on the deck overlooking the river.
Day 13: Departure- Lusaka
Today marks the end of your Zambian adventure. Squeeze in a final morning game drive and sunsrise over the Zambezi valley before flying from Livingstone back to Lusaka, where you can connect with onward international flights home.
